South Sound's deepest mid-size tribal floor
Nisqually Red Wind Casino runs roughly 1,600 slot machines and a 22-table pit with both craps and roulette, plus a keno game that almost nobody else in the region offers. Owned by the Nisqually Indian Tribe and open since 1997, the property is the practical default gaming room for Olympia, Lacey, Yelm, and southern Pierce County visitors who do not want to drive north to Muckleshoot or Emerald Queen.

About Nisqually Red Wind Casino
Nisqually Red Wind Casino opened in 1997 at 12819 Yelm Highway SE in the Olympia mailing area, owned and operated by the Nisqually Indian Tribe. The property sits along the south-Puget Sound corridor between Olympia and Yelm and serves as the regional gaming anchor for Thurston County and the southern edge of Pierce County. The Washington State Gambling Commission regulates the floor, with a minimum gambling age of 18 and gaming operating on a daily schedule. Compared with the larger flagships on the I-5 corridor north of Tacoma, Red Wind sits in a more residential setting with a lighter overall amenity load but a deeper-than-expected dealt pit.
The 1,600-machine slot floor is one of the largest in the southern Puget Sound region, and the 22 table games include the dice and wheel games (craps and roulette) that Washington card-room competitors cannot offer. Keno running on the floor is a small but distinct differentiator. For the broader regional comparison, the Washington casinos directory and tribal casinos directory frame the rest of the field.

Games on the Floor
The 22-table pit at Nisqually Red Wind Casino covers a wide spread for a property of its size: Blackjack, Craps, Emperors Challenge (Pai Gow progressive), Keno, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, Spanish 21, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Carnival players will gravitate to Emperors Challenge and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Players coming from the card rooms directory will appreciate the craps and roulette presence, which puts Red Wind in a different category than the Maverick-operated rooms further north. Keno is a quiet but consistent product on the floor and is unusual for a Washington tribal casino at this scale.
Games Available
The 1,600 slot machines are distributed across denominations from penny reels through higher-limit banks, and the floor layout reads as easy to navigate even on busy weekend nights. For game-specific basics, see our blackjack guide and craps guide.
Red Club Loyalty and Promotions
The Red Club is the property’s loyalty program (the legacy Winners Club name appears in some materials), structured around point accrual, tier benefits, and member-only events. The property’s promotions page rotates monthly with cash drawings, slot tournaments, and bonus-points days. Members earn on slot and table play, and tier progression unlocks free play and event invitations. Sign-up is free at the players desk on the floor.

Underrated south sound floor
Live in Olympia and Red Wind is my regular. 1,600 machines is a lot of slots and they refresh the floor often enough. Ultimate Texas Hold'em runs full most evenings and the craps table fires on Friday and Saturday. Red Club promotions are decent if you play often. Keno is a fun side game. No hotel attached but it's a 20 minute drive home so that's fine. Bar and grill works for a session meal.
