About Emerald Queen Casino
Emerald Queen Casino is a tribal gaming property at 2024 E 29th Street in Tacoma, Washington, opened in 2002 and operated under the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. The Washington State Gambling Commission regulates Class III gaming under the tribal compact, with a minimum age of 21 to enter the gaming floor. With a 2,005-machine slot floor and 26 table games, the property sits among the larger casinos in the Tacoma casinos directory and draws traffic from across the South Sound corridor.
The address is on the original site that replaced the older riverboat-style property, and the building houses a steakhouse, meeting space, retail, and a tribal retail sportsbook. Sportsbook activity is offered under the legal tribal retail framework permitted by Washington compacts. Local visitors often refer to the property simply as EQC.

Gaming Floor and House Rules
The 2,005-unit slot floor at Emerald Queen Casino is large enough that denominations run from penny machines up through high-limit video poker rooms with dedicated seating. Table games cover the full Vegas-style mix expected of a property this size: blackjack with several variants, craps, roulette, baccarat, and carnival games like Pai Gow and Three-Card Poker. Class III rules apply across the floor under the Puyallup compact with the state.
Games Available
The retail sportsbook is a meaningful difference from neighboring card rooms that cannot offer sports wagering. Tribal retail sportsbooks in Washington remain the only legal channel for in-person sports betting, which makes EQC one of the closer options for Seattle and South Sound bettors compared with Muckleshoot Indian Casino or Snoqualmie Casino.
Dining, Entertainment, and Amenities
Emerald Queen Casino is built as a destination, not just a slot barn. The property includes a steakhouse, multiple casual outlets, a concert venue that pulls national touring acts, meeting and event space, and shopping. The detected amenity set covers a gym, pool, and shuttle service tied to the adjacent hotel building. Self-parking and valet are both available.

The South Sound's full-service tribal floor
Emerald Queen Casino punches above its weight on machine count and table variety for a non-resort Washington tribal property. The sportsbook, steakhouse, and concert calendar make it a destination rather than just a stop. The lack of attached hotel rooms at the 29th Street location is the main caveat, but the Puyallup Tribe's Fife property covers that gap a short drive away.
Getting There and Location
EQC sits east of downtown Tacoma off I-5, with GPS coordinates 47.238, -122.405. The Puyallup Tribe also operates the Fife location north of the city. Tacoma sits roughly 35 minutes south of Seattle on I-5 and about 50 minutes north of Olympia, making EQC a natural stop on either commute. For peer comparison, see Muckleshoot Indian Casino to the northeast in Auburn.

Solid floor, good steakhouse, easy parking
Came for a Saturday night, sat down at a $15 blackjack table within five minutes. Slot floor is huge and the variety is real. Tried the sportsbook for an NBA bet, line was reasonable. Steakhouse was the surprise of the night. Only knock is no hotel attached at this location, so we drove back to a Tacoma hotel.
