About Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa
Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa is a tribal casino at 949 County Road G in Nekoosa, Wisconsin, owned and operated by the Ho-Chunk Nation since 1993. The property sits in Wood County in central Wisconsin, roughly two and a half hours northwest of Milwaukee and about 90 minutes south of Wausau. The Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Gaming oversees Class III play under the state-tribal compact, with a minimum gambling age of 21.
The Nekoosa property is the second-largest Ho-Chunk venue by combined table-and-slot footprint, sitting behind only the tribe’s flagship Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells in Baraboo. The 600-machine floor pairs with a dealt 10-table pit covering blackjack variants, EZ baccarat, Fortune Pai Gow Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em, plus an I-Table Roulette electronic setup. Doors open at 7 AM on most days, with the casino running well into the late hours and effectively 24/7 across the busy weekend windows.

Games on the Floor
The 10-table pit at Ho-Chunk Nekoosa carries one of the deeper dealt-game menus among central Wisconsin tribal casinos. Blackjack runs in standard 6-deck shoe, Double Deck, and Bonus Spin Blackjack variants. The carnival category covers Fortune Pai Gow Poker, TriLux, and King’s Bounty Deluxe alongside the headline Ultimate Texas Hold’em. EZ baccarat is unusual at a property this size and gives baccarat players a dealt option without a drive to Milwaukee. I-Table Roulette runs alongside the dealt pit as an electronic alternative.

Amenities and Dining
Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa keeps amenities focused on dining and visit comfort rather than resort polish. The directory identifies meeting space and wedding programming, with concert and nightclub events appearing on the property calendar.

The Ho-Chunk floor for dealt-table players
If Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg is the electronic-table sibling, Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa is where the Ho-Chunk Nation runs dealt tables with depth. EZ baccarat, Fortune Pai Gow Poker, three blackjack variants, and Ultimate Texas Hold'em on a 10-table pit is meaningful coverage at a 600-slot venue. Combined with the Ho-Chunk Rewards Club and a restaurant program above what you would expect from the size, this is the practical pick for central Wisconsin dealt-game play.

Best tables in central Wisconsin
Live half an hour away and come here once a month. The blackjack double deck is fair, EZ baccarat is rare to find outside the Dells, and the Ultimate Texas Hold'em tournaments are actually fun. Rewards Club tier is easy to keep at Platinum if you play regularly. Restaurant and buffet are both solid. No hotel attached but we live close enough that it does not matter.
