About Little Turtle Hertel Express
Little Turtle Hertel Express is a 24-hour gaming and travel-stop venue at 4384 WI-70 in Webster, Wisconsin, opened in 2010 and previously known as Little Turtle Hertel. The property is part of the St. Croix Casinos family operated by the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin and is regulated under the Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Gaming framework with a minimum gambling age of 21. The convenience-casino format pairs a 250-machine gaming floor with a restaurant, shops, and self-parking, making it a practical stop for travelers on WI-70 through Burnett County.
Webster sits in northwestern Wisconsin, and the Hertel Express format positions the venue as a smaller, road-friendly alternative to the flagship St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake. Within the broader Wisconsin casinos and tribal casinos landscape, this is one of the more accessible properties for drivers crossing between the Twin Cities and the Lake Superior region.

Games on the Floor
The gaming menu at Little Turtle Hertel Express is intentionally machine-focused: 250 slot machines along with video keno and video poker terminals. There are no live table games here, and there is no poker room. The floor is sized for steady all-day traffic rather than weekend peaks, which keeps the room from feeling empty on weekday afternoons. Video keno gets meaningful real estate, which is unusual for a property this size and a draw for players who prefer it to standard reel slots.

Amenities and the Travel-Stop Format
The defining feature of Little Turtle Hertel Express is the 24/7 operation paired with travel-stop amenities. The on-site restaurant runs alongside a small retail shop, and free self-parking is large enough to handle RVs and trucks. There is no on-site hotel, which is the main practical limit for overnight stays: most visitors who need a room lodge in Webster proper or 30 minutes south near Turtle Lake.

A 24-hour Wisconsin road stop built for cycling slot players
Little Turtle Hertel Express does one thing and does it consistently: a 250-machine floor with video keno and video poker, an on-site restaurant, and a parking lot you can pull a fifth-wheel into. It is the right venue for a quick stop on WI-70 and the wrong venue for an evening of blackjack. Plan accordingly, and use the sister property in Turtle Lake when you want the full St. Croix Casinos experience.
Location and Regulation
The casino sits at 4384 WI-70 in Webster, on the main east-west corridor through Burnett County. Drivers approach from US-53 or WI-35 depending on direction. The Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Gaming oversees the tribal-state compact under which the property operates. Sports wagering is legal at the tribal-compact level in Wisconsin, but Little Turtle Hertel Express does not run an on-site sportsbook.

Solid 24-hour stop, no nonsense
Pulled in around 2 AM on a drive home from the Twin Cities. The floor was open, the restaurant was running, and I parked the truck without circling. Played video keno for an hour and walked out break-even, which is about as much as I ask for from a road-stop casino. Not a destination but it is a useful one if you are out this way.
