Quiet coastal floor with a real local feel
Drove up from Westport on a rainy Saturday. Casino was busy but not chaotic, plenty of open machines and the restaurant at Tradewinds was solid. Loved that it is 18+ on the slot side. Staff at the players desk gave me a small free play credit just for signing up. Will be back next time we are on the coast.
About Shoalwater Bay Casino
Shoalwater Bay Casino is a tribal gaming venue at 4112 WA-105 just outside Tokeland, Washington, opened in 2003 and operated by the Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe on tribal land near Willapa Bay. The Washington State Gambling Commission regulates the property under the tribe’s Class III gaming compact. The minimum age to enter the gaming floor is 18, which is the lower end of the Washington tribal range and makes the property accessible to a slightly broader visitor pool than 21-plus venues like Emerald Queen Casino.
The 296-machine slot floor anchors the property, paired with the Tradewinds on the Bay restaurant and a small social media footprint on Facebook. The casino sits roughly 30 minutes south of Westport and a similar drive from Aberdeen, putting it inside an underserved corner of the Washington casinos map where tribal floors are spaced far apart.

Gaming Floor
The directory lists 296 gaming machines as the entire floor at Shoalwater Bay Casino. There are no table games and no live poker, which keeps the property focused on a single product done at scale for its size. Denominations span the standard penny-to-dollar range that suits a regional Washington tribal floor, with progressive jackpots networked across machine banks.
Games Available
Sportsbook activity is legal in Washington under the tribal retail framework, but Shoalwater Bay Casino does not currently operate a sportsbook. Travelers wanting to combine slots with sports wagering on a coastal trip will need to look at larger tribal operators east of the Olympic Peninsula such as Quinault Beach Resort and Casino up the coast.
Dining, Amenities, and Practical Info
The on-site Tradewinds on the Bay restaurant handles dining and is reachable at info@tradewindsonthebay.com. The property has self-parking, and the directory captures a shuttle service as part of its detected feature set. There is no on-site hotel, so overnight visitors typically book in Tokeland, Westport, or along Willapa Bay. Social media presence is limited to Facebook, and promotions outreach uses a dedicated promotions@shoalwaterbaycasino.com email address.

The Pacific County tribal floor for coastal weekend visitors
Shoalwater Bay Casino is a small, focused property that exists for two audiences: locals from Pacific County and travelers passing through the Westport to Long Beach corridor. The 296-machine floor, restaurant, and Sun-to-Thu 10 AM open are all calibrated for that market. Don't expect a destination resort. Do expect a clean, easy stop with low friction parking and an 18-plus minimum that broadens access.
