About Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls
Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls is a Ho-Chunk Nation tribal casino at W9010 WI-54 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, opened in 2000 and running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The property is one of the larger venues in the Ho-Chunk Gaming network and the closest sizable casino on the I-94 corridor between Eau Claire and the Wisconsin Dells. Gaming is licensed under the Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Gaming framework, with a minimum gambling age of 21. The contact line is (800) 657-4621, alongside local numbers at 608-524-3021 and 608-375-3130, with email at deb.pettibone@ho-chunk.com.
Black River Falls sits at the crossroads of I-94 and WI-54 in Jackson County, and the casino has become a regional anchor for the broader Coulee Region. The 630-machine slot floor, 10-table pit with blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and an active bingo hall make this the most game-diverse Ho-Chunk property in Wisconsin outside of Wisconsin Dells. The published opening-hours summary lists SUNDAY - THURSDAY 8AM as a service-counter window, but the gaming floor itself runs around the clock.

Games, Bingo, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em
The dealt-game menu at Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls covers blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold’em across the 10-table pit, alongside an active bingo hall that runs traditional paper bingo and electronic bingo. Ultimate Texas Hold’em is the headline carnival game and a real differentiator from the smaller Ho-Chunk venues. The 630 slot machines split between reel and video slots, with denomination ranges that lean approachable on the main floor and climb in a smaller high-limit area.

Amenities and Dining
Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls runs an unusually deep amenity stack for a casino without an attached hotel on the same site. The dining outlets include a buffet and full restaurant, the property has a pool and sauna, and there are retail shops on the floor. Valet service is available alongside self-parking. Detected amenities also include meeting and event space, ADA-accessible features, a smoke-free area, and a shuttle program tied to nearby lodging.

The Ho-Chunk network's most well-rounded mid-sized property
Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls is the venue I send Coulee Region and I-94 travelers to when they want a real casino experience without driving all the way to Wisconsin Dells. The 10-table pit (with Ultimate Texas Hold'em) and the active bingo hall give the floor more variety than the smaller Ho-Chunk Tomah and Madison properties. The amenity stack (buffet, pool, sauna, valet) over-delivers for a casino at this scale. The single missing piece is an on-site hotel, which is the main reason the Wisconsin Dells flagship still holds the destination crown.

Best mid-sized casino on I-94
Drove up from La Crosse on a Saturday for the bingo session and ended up staying for blackjack and the buffet. The room is well kept, the bingo crowd is fun, and the Ultimate Texas Hold'em table was running with a good dealer. Used Rewards Club points I'd earned at Wisconsin Dells last fall and that was nice. No hotel attached but there's a Holiday Inn five minutes off the highway. Will absolutely be back.
