What the Property Used to Offer

Final-snapshot directory data lists 15 table games and 289 gaming machines on the floor. The table-game spread covered standard pit games (blackjack, craps, roulette) alongside the Washington-typical carnival mix, and the poker side ran an unusually deep variant list, including Omaha Hi-Lo and Omaha Hi-Lo Split.

Games Available

What Made the Room Notable in Its Operating Years

Nooksack River’s table spread was wider than most rural-area Washington casinos of its scale. The carnival pit ran Big Raise Stud Poker (a rare house-banked variant), Emperor’s Challenge Pai Gow Poker, Three Card Poker, Mini-Baccarat, Spanish 21, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. The poker side spreading Omaha Hi-Lo and Omaha Hi-Lo Split is also unusual: most Washington poker rooms then and now run Hold’em-only menus, and Omaha split variants only show up at a handful of rooms in the state. This gave Nooksack River a reputation among regional poker players for variety that didn’t match the property’s small-town setting.

Missed since it closed

I played here for years. Best Omaha Hi-Lo room in the state by a wide margin. The pit was small but had real craps and a Big Raise Stud table that I never saw anywhere else. Closing it left a real gap up here. I drive down to Silver Reef now but it's not the same poker spread.
