About Skagit Valley Casino
Skagit Valley Casino, formerly known as Harrah’s Skagit Casino, opened in 1995 at 5984 Darrk Lane in Bow, Washington. The casino sits roughly midway between Mount Vernon and Bellingham just off I-5, on land associated with the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe. The Washington State Gambling Commission oversees gaming, and the floor runs 24 hours a day with a minimum gambling age of 18. The current scale (about 950 slot machines and 12 table games) puts it among the more substantial gaming floors in northwestern Washington outside the larger flagship resorts.
The property has a long operating history under multiple brands. The Harrah’s-era branding helped seed the player base, and the rebrand to Skagit Valley Casino kept the same physical footprint and core operating staff. For players exploring the broader region, the Washington casinos directory covers the tribal and card-room mix from the Canadian border south to the Columbia River, and the closer comparison set includes Silver Reef Casino and Swinomish Northern Lights Casino.

Games on the Floor
The Skagit Valley Casino gaming floor splits between a 950-machine slot area and a 12-table pit that covers more game variety than most properties of similar size. The table list includes Blackjack, Blackjack Double Deck, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, Spanish 21, and Video Poker. Craps and a roulette wheel together meaningfully separate the room from card-room competitors like Red Dragon Casino, which under Washington card-room licensing cannot spread dice or wheel games.

The dice-and-wheel difference matters on this stretch of I-5
Skagit Valley Casino is one of relatively few northwestern Washington venues that spreads craps and roulette alongside its 950-machine slot floor. For travelers moving along I-5 between Seattle and the Canadian border, that combination plus the 24/7 schedule and a valet line make it a more practical full-spectrum stop than the carnival-only card rooms further south.
Amenities and Dining
The amenity set covers the basics for a destination of this size: an on-site restaurant, valet, free self-parking, and a 24/7 floor. There is no attached hotel block, so overnight visitors typically book in Mount Vernon, Burlington, or Bellingham within a 20-minute drive. The property does not list a sportsbook on the floor; sports wagering in Washington is legal through tribal retail compacts elsewhere in the state.

Real craps table, real roulette wheel
The reason I drive down here from Bellingham instead of one of the card rooms is that I can actually shoot craps and play roulette. Slot floor is big, about 950 machines, and the layout is easy to walk. Restaurant is solid for a casino kitchen, especially late. Valet is fast on Friday nights. No hotel attached, so I drive home or grab a Burlington room. Definitely worth the stop if you are on I-5.
