Description

At 9,500 feet, Cripple Creek offers spectacular mountain views.
After the richest Gold strike in U.S. history in 1891, Cripple Creek was dubbed ”The World’s Greatest Gold Camp” and gold continues to be mined there today. During the boom years of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s there were 28 millionaires, 41 assay offices 91 lawyers, 88 doctors and dentists, three railroads, and 70 saloons in this then thriving city of 50,000. With the advent of limited stakes gaming in 1991, this picturesque western town is experiencing an exciting new boom.

Highlighted by a 50 foot high, stained glass, barrel vaulted ceiling, massive Art Deco signage, over 60,000 mini-lights, and over 600 dazzling slot machines, the Double Eagle is as beautiful as it is exciting. In addition to its numerous slot and video poker machines are numerous table games, including physically challenged accessible tables.
