President Casino Broadwater Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi operated from 1992 as a floating barge casino adjacent to the historic Broadwater Beach Hotel, one of the Gulf Coast's most storied resort properties. The entire Broadwater Beach Hotel and Casino complex was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005 and was not rebuilt. The Broadwater Beach Hotel had operated since the 1950s as one of Mississippi's premier coastal resort destinations. Biloxi's active casino corridor includes Beau Rivage, IP Casino Resort Spa, Hard Rock Biloxi, and Harrah's Gulf Coast.
