About Harrah’s Lake Charles
Harrah’s Lake Charles operated at 507 North Lake Shore Drive in Lake Charles, Louisiana — formerly known as Players Island before Harrah’s Entertainment acquired and rebranded the property. The casino ran approximately 1,600 slot machines and 60 table games — including Baccarat, Blackjack, Craps, Midi-Baccarat, Pai Gow, and Roulette — with a restaurant, self-parking, and valet, operating 24 hours. Harrah’s Lake Charles permanently closed in 2005 following Hurricane Rita, which devastated the Lake Charles area.
