The Prairie Band’s reservation in Kansas represents the portion of Potawatomi who resisted further removal to Oklahoma, and the reservation lands in Jackson County are their maintained homeland.

Formerly Harrah’s Prairie Band: The casino opened in 1998 under a management agreement with Harrah’s Entertainment (now Caesars Entertainment), which gave it access to the Caesars Rewards loyalty infrastructure. The Prairie Band of Potawatomi Nation subsequently ended that management agreement and rebranded the property as Prairie Band Casino & Resort, bringing the gaming operation under direct tribal management.
