The Dan Patch Circle address is named after Dan Patch — the legendary standardbred pacer who set world speed records from 1902 to 1905 and remains the most celebrated horse in harness racing history. Hoosier Park’s track has hosted harness racing (standardbred trotters and pacers) since before the casino gaming component was added in 2008 under the Indiana horse racing law authorization.
