Aria Resort & Casino is a casino-resort at 3730 South Las Vegas Boulevard in Paradise, Nevada, owned and operated by MGM Resorts International and Infinity World Development. The property opened in December 2009 as the centerpiece of the CityCenter mixed-use development — a $9 billion, 67-acre complex that became the largest privately funded construction project in US history at the time of completion. All gaming is regulated by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, with a minimum gambling age of 21. The floor operates 24 hours a day.

CityCenter (now marketed as The Strip District) encompasses Aria, the Vdara Hotel & Spa, The Shops at Crystals mall, and Veer Towers condominiums. Aria functions as the gaming anchor of the complex. Aria operates a 24-table live poker room with a seven-variant game program: 7 Card Stud, Draw, Limit Hold’em, Mixed Games, No Limit Hold’em, Omaha 8-or-Better, and Pot Limit Omaha. This spread is extraordinary by any measure — seven distinct poker variants at a single 24-table room is rare anywhere in the US.

Draw poker (Five Card Draw or another draw variant) is the most historically notable addition — draw games predated community-card poker in casino play but have largely disappeared from most US casino poker rooms. Mixed Games rotates through multiple variants — typically a HORSE format or dealer’s choice mix. Omaha 8-or-Better (Omaha Hi-Lo) splits the pot between high and low qualifying hands. Pot Limit Omaha is the most popular poker format globally outside of NL Hold’em. The combination of Draw, Stud, three Omaha formats, two Hold’em formats, and Mixed Games at a single room is a serious game-variety commitment. The table game section includes two proprietary blackjack innovations that are uncommon on the Strip. Free Bet Blackjack (designed by Geoff Hall) pays the player’s double-down and split bets for free on qualifying hands — the player can double down on 9, 10, and 11 and split any pair at no additional cost; the house edge is offset by pushing on a dealer 22. Blackjack Switch deals each player two hands face-up and allows switching the top cards between hands before play — this dramatically changes hand selection strategy. Both variants have lower house edges for skilled players than some standard blackjack formats but require learning different strategy charts. European Roulette uses a single-zero wheel (37 numbers rather than American double-zero’s 38), reducing the house edge from 5.26% to 2.70%.
